Cancellation & Weather Policies

At Aqua Sports Adventures, our reservation calendar is carefully managed due to high seasonal demand, limited vessel availability, staffing, and weather monitoring. Please review the following cancellation and weather policies carefully prior to booking.

All reservation made with aqua sports adventures are subject to the cancellation and refund policies outlined below by booking a reservation comma the renter acknowledges and agrees to the terms period.

Cancellation Policy

General Cancellation Terms

• All reservations are subject to cancellation fees.
• Cancellation requests must be submitted prior to the applicable cancellation deadline to qualify for any partial refund or reservation credit consideration.
• Once inside the applicable cancellation period, reservations may not be canceled, modified, shortened, rescheduled, or transferred.
• Same-day reservations are non-cancelable once booked.
• Multi-day rentals may be subject to separate cancellation terms outlined in the rental agreement or quote provided at booking.

Standard Cancellation Fees

2-Hour Rentals

• Standard Cancellation Fee: $55
• Holiday Cancellation Fee: $75

4-Hour Rentals

• Standard Cancellation Fee: $80
• Holiday Cancellation Fee: $100

6-Hour Rentals

• Standard Cancellation Fee: $95
• Holiday Cancellation Fee: $125

8-Hour Rentals

• Standard Cancellation Fee: $125
• Holiday Cancellation Fee: $175

Cancellation Deadlines

• Standard reservations require a minimum of 120 hours (5 days) notice prior to departure for cancellation eligibility.
• Holiday reservations require a minimum of 168 hours (7 days) notice prior to departure.
• Reservations canceled inside the required notice period will forfeit the full reservation amount.
• No Shows will forfeit the full reservation amount and are not eligible for credits, vouchers, or future rescheduling.

Refund Policy

• Aqua Sports Adventures maintains a NO REFUND policy outside of approved cancellation terms.
• Reservation fees become fully earned once cancellation deadlines have passed.
• Cancellation fees and/or reservation payments are non-refundable and cannot be waived for reasons including, but not limited to:
  • Personal emergencies
  • Illness or injury
  • COVID-related circumstances
  • Travel delays
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Weather forecasts that do not meet unsafe operating conditions
  • Forgotten documents or licenses
  • Intoxication or failure to meet safety requirements at check-in
  • Guest Cancellation or reduction of party size
  • Failure to provide a qualified driver at check-in
  • Voluntary early returns
  • Seasickness or guest discomfort
  • Any circumstance outside of Aqua Sport’s Adventures’ direct control

Weather Policy

Rentals operate rain or shine unless Aqua sports adventures determine conditions to be unsafe for operation due to severe weather, dangerous lightning, high winds, government advisories, or other hazardous peak conditions.

Please note, weather forecasts alone do not qualify for refunds or cancellation fee waivers.

General Weather Conditions

• Boats will depart as scheduled unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe by Aqua Sports Adventures management.
• Cloudy skies, light rain, intermittent sprinkles, cooler temperatures, hotter temperatures, or unfavorable weather forecasts are not considered unsafe boating conditions and do not qualify for cancellation or refund.
• Weather conditions are monitored continuously using credible weather monitoring sources with guest and staff safety as the highest priority.

Unsafe Weather Conditions

Conditions that may be considered unsafe include:

• Sustained heavy rainfall
• Lightning
• Tornado warnings
• Severe thunderstorm warnings
• High wind advisories
• Other dangerous lake conditions as determined by management

Aqua Sports Adventures reserves the sole right to determine whether boating conditions are unsafe for operation.

Inclement Weather During Your Rental

If unsafe weather develops during an active rental:

2-Hour Rentals

• Rentals are considered earned/provided/completed after 1 hour of usage

4-Hour Rentals

• Rentals are considered earned/provided/completed after 2 hours of usage

6-Hour Rentals

• Rentals are considered earned/provided/completed after 3 hours of usage

8-Hour Rentals

• Rentals are considered earned/provided/completed after 4 hours of usage

If the minimum earned usage time has not been met, management may issue a prorated Weather Voucher based on unused rental time.

Weather vouchers are issued at management discretion and are based on actual weather conditions occurring during the reservation period.

Weather Vouchers

• Guests must be physically present at the marina to receive weather-related accommodations or voucher consideration.
• Weather vouchers are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise noted.
• If no expiration date is listed, vouchers expire on October 31 of the original rental season.
• Weather vouchers:
  • Are non-transferable
  • Hold no cash value
  • May not be used on holidays or weekends unless specifically authorized or stated in writing
  • Do not carry over into future rental seasons

Pre-Departure Weather Decisions

• If unsafe weather conditions are determined prior to departure, Aqua Sports Adventures may:
  • Waive the administrative rescheduling fee
  • Move the reservation to a future available date
  • Issue a weather voucher for future use
• Rescheduled weather reservations must remain within the same vessel category and rental duration originally booked.
