Rental Requirements

At Aqua Sports Adventures, the safety of our guests, staff, and vessels is our highest priority. Please carefully review the following rental requirements prior to booking your reservation.

 

Driver Requirements

• All vessel operators/drivers must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid government-issued driver’s license. Expired, temporary, or suspended licenses are not accepted.
• All approved drivers must be present at check-in to complete required paperwork and participate in an in-person safety orientation with an Aqua Sports Adventures team member. No exceptions.
• By Georgia law, all operators born on or after January 1, 1998, must complete a Georgia DNR-approved Boater Education Course prior to operating a motorized vessel. Completion instructions will be provided in your confirmation email.
• Aqua Sports Adventures requires all approved operators to have a minimum of two (2) years of boating experience. If, upon arrival, a driver is determined to lack adequate boating knowledge, operational ability, or safe boating experience, the reservation may be canceled without refund.
• A maximum of two (2) approved drivers are permitted per rental vessel.
• Operation of any Aqua Sports Adventures vessel after dark is strictly prohibited.

 

Safety Video & Waivers

• It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure all members of the party complete all required waivers and safety requirements prior to departure.
• All passengers must complete and sign a Release of Liability Waiver and any additional required documents before boarding the vessel.
• Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf.
• The waiver and safety video links may be shared by the primary renter via text or email with all members of the group.
• Boats will not be released from the dock until all required waivers have been completed.
• Aqua Sports Adventures cannot honor safety cards issued by other rental companies. Our company-issued safety certifications are valid for six (6) months from the date completed.
• Guests with a valid NASBLA-approved Boater Education Card should bring proof of certification at check-in.

 

Security Deposit Requirement

• A $500 security deposit per vessel is required at check-in using a major credit card.
• Debit cards, prepaid cards, cash, checks, or check cards are not accepted for security deposits.
• Failure to provide a valid credit card for the security deposit will result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.

 

Vessel Rules & Operating Policies

• All required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment is provided at no additional charge.
• Aqua Sports Adventures vessels may not travel past Browns Bridge (Hwy 369). Violation of this policy may result in additional fees and towing expenses.
• Beaching, docking ashore, or running vessels onto land is strictly prohibited due to potential propeller, hull, toon, and structural damage.
• Smoking, vaping, open flames, and grilling are prohibited on all vessels.
• Entering and exiting Holiday Marina or any No Wake Zone must always be done at IDLE SPEED ONLY.
• The renter is financially responsible for all damages, fees, towing expenses, citations, fuel charges, and policy violations incurred during the rental period regardless of who is operating the vessel.

 

Alcohol & Drug Policy

• Aqua Sports Adventures maintains a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy regarding alcohol or drug use by any designated vessel operator.
• Any driver suspected of operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol will result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
• Violations may result in forfeiture of the full security deposit and additional liability for damages or law enforcement involvement.
• Guests arriving at check-in visibly impaired or carrying open alcoholic beverages prior to departure may be denied rental without refund.

 

Pet Policy

• Dogs are permitted on select vessels only.
• A non-refundable $40 pet fee applies per dog.
• A maximum of two (2) dogs are permitted on eligible vessels.
• Pets are not permitted on Premium Boats.
• Pet fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once added to the reservation.

 

Arrival & Check-In

• Weekday renters should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
• Weekend renters are strongly encouraged to arrive 20-35 minutes prior to departure.
• Holiday rentals may require arrival 30-45 minutes prior to departure due to increased marina traffic and safety processing.
• Rental times cannot be extended due to late arrivals.
• Multi-day rentals are available upon request and may be subject to separate policies and agreements.
