Fees, Deposits & Vessel Responsibilities
To protect the safety of our guests, vessels, and business operations, the following financial policies apply to all rentals with Aqua Sports Adventures.
Security Deposit Policy
Required Security Deposit
- A $500 security deposit is required for each vessel rented.
- Security deposits must be secured using a valid major credit card at check-in in the renter’s name.
- Debit cards, prepaid cards, check cards, cash, or personal checks are not accepted for security deposits.
- Failure to provide a valid credit card for the required security deposit will result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.
Security Deposit Responsibility
The renter is financially responsible for:
- Vessel damages
- Propeller damage
- Hull, toon, or dock damage
- Lost or damaged equipment
- Cleaning fees
- Fuel charges
- Towing charges
- Policy violations
- Marina citations
- Excessive cleaning
- Smoking violations
- Unauthorized operation or misuse of the vessel
The renter remains financially responsible regardless of who is operating the vessel during the rental period.
Security Deposit Forfeiture
Violation of certain safety or operational policies may result in partial or full forfeiture of the security deposit, including but not limited to:
- Operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Smoking, vaping, grilling, or open flames onboard
- Beaching or running the vessel ashore
- Unauthorized operation outside approved boundaries
- Reckless or negligent vessel operation
- Damage caused by misuse or policy violations
Additional repair, towing, or damage costs exceeding the security deposit amount remain the responsibility of the renter.
Fuel Policy
Fuel Charges
- Fuel is not included in the rental price.
- All vessels depart with a full tank of fuel and must be refueled upon return based on fuel usage during the rental period.
- Fuel charges are calculated according to actual fuel consumed during your rental.
- Fuel cost vary from boat type, time on the water, and usage.
Refueling and Checkout Procedure
- All renters are required to complete the official checkout process upon returning their vessel if a renter leaves the marina, fails to report to the front office, or departs prior to the completion of refueling check out inspections and a final payment processing, Aqua Sports Adventure reserves the right to charge the card on file for:

- The full fuel amount owed
- A $50 Abandoned Checkout Processing Fee for refueling services for failure to complete the required checkout process
- Any applicable damages, fees, or outstanding balances
- An additional 5% Dock Service charge based on the subtotal of the rent cost
- Failure to properly check out may delay or affect the release of their renter security deposit, as Aqua sports adventures must complete a full vessel inspection and finalize all rental documentation prior to security deposit being released
- The renter is solely responsible for ensuring that the card on file remains active valid and capable of processing all authorized charges associated with the rental
- Departing Aqua Sports Adventures without completing their required checkout process does not waive the renter’s financial responsibility for fuel damage fees or outstanding charges
Late Return Policy
Scheduled Return Times
- All vessels must be returned by the scheduled return time listed on the reservation agreement.
- Late returns impact scheduling, staffing, safety operations, fueling, cleaning, and subsequent reservations.
Late Return Fees
- Late returns are charged at a rate of $65 for every fifteen (15) minutes past the scheduled return time.
- Late fees begin immediately after the scheduled return time expires.
- Continued late returns may result in additional operational charges if they interfere with marina operations or subsequent reservations.
Accessory Rental Add-on Policy
- Accessory rentals are limited in quantity and are reserved specifically for each reservation at the time of booking.
- Once an accessory of any type has been added to a reservation, the accessory rental fee is final and non-refundable.
- Accessory rentals cannot be cannot be canceled, removed, credited, transferred, exchanged, or refunded for any reason.
- This policy applies to all of the accessory rentals that ASA offers.
- Please note there are no refunds, credits, or adjustments if: Renter changes mind after booking, the renter decides not to use the accessory, the number of guest changes in the party, accessory is unused during the rental period, the renter determines the accessory is no longer needed, or the renter runs out of time during the reservation period.
- Please note that accessories availability varies by boat, type, and size. Some boat allow multiple accessories while others do not.
- It is recommended that if you are unsure about use of accessory to wait to the day of to see if there is inventory available.
Operating Boundaries & Towing Responsibility
- Aqua Sports Adventures vessels may not travel beyond Browns Bridge (Hwy 369).
- Unauthorized travel outside approved operating boundaries may result in:
- Additional fees
- Towing expenses
- Loss of security deposit
- Financial responsibility for vessel recovery
- Should towing or recovery services become necessary due to renter negligence, operator error, fuel depletion, or unauthorized operation, the renter is fully responsible for all associated costs, including services provided by TowBoatUS or other Aqua Sports Adventures help team.
